Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Delta Dental Offices, technology helps us provide you with dental care, from planning treatments to providing you with services at your appointments. We can display digital scans and x-rays on monitors in our treatment rooms, and show you issues in your mouth before walking you through your treatment plan.
We want to provide our patients with dental care for their needs and inform them regarding their oral health. Dental technology can help us accomplish this goal.
Digital X-Rays
Instead of traditional photographic x-ray film, digital x-rays use digital sensors to bring us computer images of your teeth and gums, in addition to other oral structures and conditions. This can allow your dentist to examine parts of your mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Using panoramic x-rays, your dentist can create a single flat image of your entire mouth. This image represents the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures. These x-rays are typically used to help plan treatments for implants, dentures, extractions and braces.
